Yaşlanma insan yaşamının doğal bir durumudur. Yaşlılık toplumsallaşmanın son evresidir. Endüstriyel yaşam, gelişim süreçlerinde toplumsal bozulmalara neden olmaktadır. Amaçbozumuna uğrayan sosyalleşme süreci, insanın yaşlanma hakkını tehdit etmektedir. Bu değişim küresel süreçlerle tüm dünyaya taşınmaktadır.
