Özet
Şerif Mardin, entelektüel biyografisi Türk modernleşmesi sorunsalı etrafında şekillenmişbir düşünürümüzdür. Sosyal ve siyasal bilimlerin kesişim noktasında, kendisinin nihai ufkudiyebileceğimiz bu sorunsalı pek çok ara güzergâha uğrayarak ele almıştır. Bu süreçte çalışmalarınıTürkiye ve Batı dünyasındaki pek çok sosyal bilimsel teori ve metodoloji ile etkileşimhalinde icra etmiştir. Ara güzergâhlardan en önemlisi ise bizzat metodolojiyle ilgilidir. Buçalışmanın konusunu, Mardin’de özgül bir çalışma alanı olarak ortaya çıkan bu tema teşkiletmektedir. Böylece çalışmanın amacı, düşüncesinin genel seyrini takiben onun sosyal bilimlerfelsefesinin metodolojik varsayımlarını betimlemeye çalışmaktır.
Abstract
Şerif Mardin is a thinker focused on the Turkish modernization. At the intersectionof social and political sciences, Mardin has discussed this problem by analyzing many intermadiaryproblems. In this respect, he followed the social scientific developments bothin Turkey and in the world and studied in interaction with many kind of theoretical andmethodological approach. The issue of this work is philoso phical origin of Mardin’s socialscience approach that is primary theme of his intermadiary problems. So the aim of thisstudy is to try to describe the methodological assumptions of his philosophy of social sciencefollowing the general course of his thought.
