Özet
Darülfünun’un Üniversite’ye dönüşümü sürecinden öğrencilerin nasıl etkilendikleri en az bilinen konulardan biridir. Tıp Fakültesi öğrencilerinden Rüknettin Fethi (Olcaytuğ), 1933 Üniversite Reformunun hemen ardından yazdığı ‘Darülfünun’a mersiye’ adlı şiirinde yaşanan değişimi ve beklentileri anlatmaktadır. Mersiye, reformun öğrenci perspektifi ile görülüp anlaşılmasına bir pencere açmaktadır.
Abstract
The transition from the old university (Darülfünun) to the new university in 1933 remains a controversial subject in the history of Turkish academia. How contemporary university students were involved in and absorbed the process is less known. Rüknettin Fethi (Olcaytuğ), a fourth year student at the Medical Faculty, composed an ‘Elegy to the Darülfünun’ where he relates his firsthand experience and expectations. The elegy offers a glimpse of the students’ understanding of the University Reform of 1933.
