The Probable Contributions of Historical Diachronic Phonetical and Morphological Researches on Linguistic Studies

Özet

Türkiye’deki Türkoloji yayınlarında, Türkologların dilbilim bilmemelerinden kaynaklanan sorunlar dilbilimcilerin sürekli eleştiri kaynağı olmuştur. Madalyonun diğer yüzünde ise dilbilimcilerin tarihsel sesbilgisi, biçimbilgisi ve sözdizimi altyapılarının eksikliğinden kaynaklanan sorunlar bulunmaktadır. Bu yazı, tarihsel Türkoloji araştırmalarının, özel olarak Türkçenin yapı ve işleyişiyle ilgilenen dilbilimcilere sağlayabileceği olası katkıları örneklendirmektedir.

Abstract

The main critique of the linguists to the studies of turcology that the experts of turcology in Turkey do not study linguistics enough and the literatüre on Turcology have problems due to the lack of linguistics knowledge. But on the other hand, the works of linguistics in Turkey have problems since the linguists do not pay attention to the studies of historical grammar, historical phonetics, morphology and syntax. This study exemplifies the possible contributions of the studies of historical turcology to the linguists who work on the structure and grammar of the Turkish language.
