Koyunlarda Doğum Öncesi ve Sonrası Haptoglobin Düzeylerinin Araştırılması*

The Investigation of Haptoglobin Levels in the Sheep at Prepartum and Postpartum Period

Özet

Bu çalışmada, peripartum dönemde, normal vücut kondüsyon skoruna sahip koyunlarda Haptoglobin (Hp) düzeyleri vekaraciğer yağlanması arasındaki ilişkilerin belirlenmesi amaçlandı. Bu amaçla normal vücut kondüsyon skoruna sahip 25 adetgebe Akkaraman ırkı koyun çalışmaya dahil edildi. Kullanılan koyunların ortalama canlı ağırlıkları 65±5.7 kg’dı. Doğumdanyaklaşık üç hafta önce ve doğum sonrası üç hafta süresince haftada bir kez olmak üzere kan örnekleri alındı. Daha sonrabiyokimyasal, hematolojik parametreler ve Hp analizleri yapıldı. Süt kesiminden sonra rastgele seçilen dört koyundan alınankaraciğer örneklerinde histopatolojik değerlendirme yapıldı. Doğum sonrası aspartat amino transferaz (AST) ve alkalenfosfataz (ALP) değerlerinin doğum öncesi alınan verilere göre istatistiksel açıdan farklı olduğu belirlendi. Ortalama kalsiyum(Ca) değerlerinin de doğum öncesi ve sonrasında farklılıkları olduğu görüldü. Haptoglobin sonuçlarının özellikle doğumdanbir hafta önce alınan değerlerin, hem doğum öncesi hem de doğum sonrası düzeylerden istatistiksel açıdan farklı olduğubelirlendi. Karaciğer doku örneklerinin histopatolojik incelemelerinde belirgin bir yağ dejenerasyonu görülmedi. Sonuçtakoyunlarda Hp düzeylerinde oluşan doğumdan önceki artışların karaciğer yağlanmalarından bağımsız oluşabileceği kanısınavarılmıştır.

Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to determinate the relationship in between Haptoglobin (Hp) levels and fatty liverdisease at the peripartum periot in sheep. For this purpose, A total of 25 pregnant Akkaraman breed sheep having with thenormal body condition score were included to this study. The mean live body weight of the sheep used in this study was 65 ±5.7 kg. Blood samples were collected from these sheep at about three weeks before birth and three weeks after birth once aweek. Biochemical, hematological parameters and Hp were analyzed after sampling process. Necropsy and histopathologicalexamination were performed on liver samples collected from four sheep liver after they were weaned. The mean aspartateamino transferase (AST) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) values during postpartum period were significantly higher than thoseof prepartum values. Calcium (Ca) values also were determined as different in prepartum and postpartum periods. The meanHp values determined at first week before birth were significantly different than those of both prenatal and postnatal meanHp levels. Mean Hp values at postpartum period were determined to be significantly higher than the mean Hp at the first twoweeks values in prenatal period. There was no lipidosis in histopathological examination of liver sections. It was concludedthat Hp levels at the prepartum period may increase independently from fatty liver in pregnant sheep.
