Özet

Osmanlı taşrasında 1870’lerden itibaren başlayan yenileşme döneminde, Eğil’de ortaöğretim alanında açılan tek okul rüşdiye mektebidir. “Eğil Rüşdiye Mektebi” olarak kayıtlara geçen bu okul, 1873 yılında resmen açıldı. 1897 yılına kadar muallim-i sanilikle idare olundu. Bu yıldan itibaren ise muallim-i evvellik düzeyine terfi etti. 1909 yılı Haziranında kapanıncaya kadar aralıksız olarak öğretime devam etti

Abstract
