Abstract
History of thought testifies to the efforts of searching for the universal, absolute or indisputable truths in different areas. Politics is also one of the areas this quest has been concentrated on. In ancient times, absolute political truths were based on reference to a divine source. In the modern era, these truths have been generally dealt with a secular approach. Thus, the establishment, development and collapse of the communities as well as their social, economic and political structures cannot be determined randomly or arbitrarily. Much like nature, society and the state, must exist according to certain absolute laws. Therefore, these laws could be explored and the most accurate, or the best form of state could be established according to these laws. This article analyses the views of absolute political truths in idealistic and materialistic philosophical thought.
