The Beginning and Key Stages of Kyrgyz Statehood

Abstract

One of the acutely disputable problems in Kyrgyz studies is the origins of the formation and development of the statehood of the ancient Kyrgyz. In historical science, there is no unambiguous assessment of the beginning of this institution functioning. While some historians associate this phenomenon with the Yenisei stage, other specialists focus on the Great Power period in the history of the Kyrgyz. The article analyzes the genesis of the Kyrgyz statehood and the stages of its development.
