Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the success norms of the students who attended the first and second educational classes in 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 in shot put, discus, javelin, and hammer throwing, the sub branches of compulsory athletics courses. it was also aimed to determine whether there was any differences between the first and second educational class students regarding thepractice. The universe and data base of the study consisted of the final examination degrees of the first and second educational class students attending four hours of athletics courses a week in 1996-1999 The arithmetic average (X), standard division (SD), min-max values, and the success percentages in throwing were determined. After applying a "t test about the differences between the arithmetic averages of the independent groups, it was investigated whether the results had the significance of P
