Amaç: Bu çalışmada, kanatlı kırmızı akarı (Dermanyssus gallinae) ile deneysel olarak enfeste edilmiş yumurtacı tavuklarda akar enfestasyonunun ve depolamanın yumurta kalite özellikleri
Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of the poultry red mite (Dermanyssus gallinae) and storage on egg quality parameters in layers infested experimentally.Material and Methods: In this study, 60 week old 48 Atabey White Layer chickens were used. The chickens were divided in two groups (infested and control) and the eggs were collected from both groups between 30 and 35 days of the experiment and half were analyzed fresh, while the other half was analyzed after storage for 30 days at +4 ° C. Egg yield, egg weight and quality parameters, such as shape index criteria’s, shell thickness, albumin index criteria’s, yolk index criteria’s, yolk color and Haugh value were observed.
