Abstract

If the plaintiff has been declared bankrupt, after he initiates a civil action be fore a court other than the bankruptcy court, the court documents will normally be served on the trustees in bankruptcy rather than the plaintiff himself. This rule and its exceptions are discussed with reference to relevant court precedents.
