Özet

Bu raporda, 8 yaşlı, dişi, İrlanda Setter'i bir köpekte gözlenen tiroid adenökarsinomu olgusu tanımlanmaktadır. Klinik muayenede, boyunun ventralinde, solunum güçlüğü ve öksürüğe neden olan bir kitle tespit edildi. 7x6x5 cm boyutlarındaki kitle operasyonla alındı. Postoperatif dönemde ölen köpeğin nekropsisinde, akciğerde multiple metastatik kitleler görüldü. Tumoral kitle ve akciğerdeki metastazların histopatolojik ve immunohistokimyasal incelenmesinde, tümörün folliküler-kompakt sellüler tiroid adenökarsinomu olduğu belirlendi

Abstract

In this report, a case of thyroid adenocarcinoma in a 8 years-old, female, Irish Setter dog was described. In the clinical examination, a mass located at the ventral cervical region causing dyspnea and coughing was detected. The mass which was 7x6x5 cm in dimensions was removed surgically. The dog, dead at the postoperative period, was necropsied. Multiple metastatic masses were observed in the lung. As a result of histopathological and immünohistochemical examinations of the primary and metastatic masses, the tumor was diagnosed as a follicular-compact cellular thyroid adenocarcinoma.
