Universities are educational institutions that shape the future of countries and it is important if the academicians working in universities are satisfied with their work. While many studies can be found about job satisfaction in the literature, job satisfaction of academicians, especially in the field of tourism is limited. For this reason, the study aimed to evaluate whether the level of job satisfaction and performance of tourism training academicians changed or not according to their personal characteristics. A survey has been completed by 207 tourism academicians via e-mail during the period May-September 2015. The collected data were analyzed by using SPSS program. According to the result of the analysis, it is certain that there is a positive relation between job satisfaction and job performance for the population of tourism training academicians. Also, it is found that this relation does not change significantly with personal characteristics of participants in the survey
