Özet
Giriş: Çalışmamızda; acil servise başvuran hastaların ilk başvuruda alınan hemogramından elde edilen Ortalama Trombosit Hacmi (MPV) ve Trombosit Dağılım Genişliği (PDW) değerlerinin, hasta taburcu olduktan sonraki ilk 24 saat içerisinde acil servise tekrar başvuru oranı ile ilişkisini incelemeyi amaçladık. Gereç ve Yöntem: Retrospektif, vaka-kontrol çalışması olarak dizayn edilen bu çalışma, 1 yıllık süre içerisinde acil servise başvuran hastalarla yapıldı. Hastalar iki gruba ayrıldı. Birinci grupta acil servise başvurup taburcu edildikten sonra 24 saat içerisinde acil servise tekrar başvuranlar (readmission grubu), ikinci grupta ise acil servise başvurup taburcu edildikten sonra 24 saat içerisinde tekrar başvurusu olmayan (kontrol grubu) hastalar değerlendirildi. Hemogram parametrelerinin gruplar arası farklılık düzeylerine ve bu parametrelerin readmissionu öngörme düzeyine göre istatistiksel analiz yapıldı. P
Abstract
Objective: In this study; we aimed to investigate therelationship between Mean Platelet Volume (MPV) andPlatelet Distribution Width (PDW) values obtained from theinitial hemogram of the patients admitted to the emergencydepartment with the re-admission rate to the emergencydepartment within the first 24 hours after discharge.Materials and Methods: This retrospective case-controlstudy was conducted with patients who presented to theemergency service over one-year period. The patients weredivided into two groups: The first group consisted of patientswho, after presenting to the emergency department and beingdischarged, were readmitted to the same service within thefirst 24 hours, the second group comprised of those who werenot re-admitted to the emergency department within thisperiod.
