Özet

Gazzîzâde Abdüllatîf Efendi, Miladi XVIII. yüzyılın sonu ile XIX. asrın ilk çeyreğindeBursada yaşamıştır. Bu dönem Osmanlı devletinde yeniliklerin ve ıslahatların sonhızıyla devam ettiği bir dönemdir. Gazzîzâde, bu dönemde bir yandan devletin birliğive bekası için çaba gösterirken diğer yandan ıslahatların ve Avrupaya özentininhalkta meydana getirdiği yozlaşmaları tamir etmeye çalışmaktadır. Gazzîzâde,eserlerinde; özellikle Fâtiha sûresi tefsîrinde, dönemin siyasi, sosyal ve ahlakiproblemlerine genişçe yer vermiş ve bunların ıslahı için çare olarak bir mürşidinterbiyesinde, dini ve tasavvufi bir hayatın yaşanmasından başka çözüm yolununbulunmadığını vurgulamıştır. Eserde ana tema tasavvuftur. Ancak o ehl-i sünnetinitikadının doğruluğunu savunma ve bâtıl fırkalara cevap mahiyetinde kelama dagenişçe yer vermiştir

Abstract

Gazzīzāde Abdullatīf Efendi lived in Bursa during late 18th and early 19th century. Theperiod was an era of intense reforms in Ottoman history. Gazzīzāde made his best inorder to ensure the unity and survival of the state on the one hand and tried to makeup for the corruption in society due to groundless admiration in Europe on the other.In his works, particularly in his exegesis of al-Fātihah, Gazzīzāde extensively treatspolitical, social and moral problems of his day and puts forth a proper Sūfī life as theonly way to cure the problems through education of mentors. Sūfism constitutes themain theme of the work. Nonetheless, he also comprehensively deals with Kalam soas to defend the righteousness of the faith among Ahl al-Sunnah and to provide aresponse against void and superstitious parties
