TARİHSEL SÜREÇ İÇERİSİNDE KADIN FUTBOLUNDA CİNSİYET EŞİTSİZLİĞİ

Özet

Derleme türünde hazırlanan bu çalışmanın amacı futbolda cinsiyet eşitsizliği kavramının kadın futbolu açısından incelemesidir. Kadınlar diğer çoğu alanda olduğu gibi futbolda da var olmak için çok fazla çaba göstermektedirler. Kadın futbolu, erkek futboluna oranla ilgi çekici bulunmadığından hem tarihsel süreçte çok fazla yer edinememiş hem de günümüze kadar geçen süreçte erkek futbolunun bilinirlilik, halkça tutulma ve kazanç anlamında çok gerisinde kaldığı görülmektedir. Tarihsel sürece baktığımızda futbolun çok uzun zaman önce hayatımıza girmiş olduğu ve dünya genlinde en popüler spor branşlarından birisi olduğu görülmektedir. Fakat kadın futbolu Türkiye’de ve dünyada erkek futbolu kadar köklü bir geçmişe sahip değildir. Bu anlayışa sebep olarak futbolun erkek egemen topluma ait olarak görülmesi, fiziksel ve fizyolojik olarak erkek sporu olarak kabul edilmesi en önemli faktör olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Günümüzde ise bu bakış açısı değiştirilmeye çalışılmakta ve kadınlar da artık bu branşta yer almak istemektedir. Çalışmamızda geçmişten günümüze futbolda cinsiyet eşitsizliği ve buna sebep olan etmenler üzerinde durulmuştur. Sonuç olarak başta toplumsal bakış açısı, seyir zevki, maddi ve manevi değerler gibi birçok etmenin kadın futbolunun gelişimini ve halkça tutulmasının erkek futbolunun çok gerisinde kalmasına sebep olduğu söylenebilir. Gelecekte bu eşitsizliğin giderilebilmesi için ülkemizde pek çok alanda cinsiyet eşitliği için yapılan çalışmaların özellikle futbol başta olmak üzere spor alanına da odaklanarak yapılması gerekmektedir.

Abstract

The aim of this study, which is prepared as a compilation, is to examine the concept of gender inequality in football in terms of women's football. Women make a great effort to exist in football, as in most other fields. Since women's football is not interesting compared to men's football, it has not gained much place in the historical process, and it is seen that men's football has lagged far behind in terms of awareness, popularity and earnings. When we look at the historical process, it is seen that football entered our lives a long time ago and it is one of the most popular sports branches in the world. However, women's football does not have as deep a history as men's football in Turkey and in the world. The reason for this understanding is that football is seen as belonging to a male dominated society and that it is accepted as a male sport physically and physiologically. Today, this point of view is being tried to be changed and women now want to take part in this branch. In our study, gender inequality in football from past to present and the factors that cause it are emphasized. As a result, it can be said that many factors such as social perspective, viewing pleasure, material and spiritual values cause the development and popularity of women's football to lag far behind men's football. In order to eliminate this inequality in the future, studies for gender equality in many fields in our country should be carried out by focusing on sports, especially football.
