Özet

Kölelik insanlık tarihinin en eski kurumlarından biridir. Çeşitli nedenlerden dolayı köle durumuna düşen insanlar köle tüccarları tarafından varlıklı kimselere satılırdı. Sahiplerinin bir nevi malları haline gelen bu köleler endüstri ve daha başka sektörlerde çalıştırılırdı. Erken İslâm döneminde endüstri alanında istihdam edilen kölelerin sayısı çok fazla değildi. Fakat özellikle bayındırlık faaliyetlerinde yoğun olarak kullanılıyorlardı. Bu makalede erken İslâm döneminde kölelerin durumu tetkik edilecektir. Ayrıca Iraklı tarihçi Ahmed Salih el-Alinin konuyla ilgili tespit ve görüşleri üzerinde durulacaktır.

Abstract

Slavery is one of the oldest institutions in human history. Due to various reasons, people that becoming slaves were sold to wealthy persons by slave traders. These slaves became of property their owners and they had worked in industry and other sectors. Number of slaves who worked in the field of industy was not too much in early Islamic period. But especially they were used intensively in public works. In this article, status of slaves will be discussed in early Islamic period. Besides, the paper will focus on the identification and opinions on the subject of Iraqi historian Ahmed Salih al-Ali.
