Kocaeli'nde Bir İlkokulun Öğrencilerinde Hipertansiyon Sıklığı

Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışma, Kocaeli Türk Pirelli İlkokulu (KTPİ)öğrencilerinde hipertansiyon sıklığı ve ilişkilietmenlerin incelenmesi amacıyla yürütülmüştür.Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışma kesitsel tipte biraraştırmadır. Araştırmanın evrenini KTPİ'de okuyan360 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Veriler 11 Mayıs 01 Haziran 2015 tarihleri arasında toplanmıştır.Öğrencilerin boyları, kiloları ve kan basınçlarıölçülmüştür. Boy ve ağırlık persantillerinin, kanbasınçlarının değerlendirilmesi Neyzi ve ark.tarafından belirlenen değerlere göre yapılmıştır.Öğrencilere bilgi formuyla daha önce tansiyonlarınınölçülüp ölçülmediği, ölçüldüyse yüksek olduğununsöylenip söylenmediği ve böbrekle ilgili hastalığınınolup olmadığı sorulmuştur.Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan 360 öğrencinin 167(%46,4)'si erkek, 193 (53,6)'ü kızdır. Erkeköğrencilerin %6,0'sında, kız öğrencilerin%11,4'ünde,toplam öğrencilerin ise %10,8(n=39)'inde hipertansiyon saptanmıştır. Cinsiyetlerarasında kan basıncı düzeyi açısından istatistikselolarak anlamlı farklılık saptanmamıştır(p>0,05).Obez olmayan öğrencilerin %6,4'ünde,obez öğrencilerin %39,1'inde hipertansiyonsaptanmıştır (p
Abstract
Aim: This study was conducted to investigate theprevalence of hypertension and associated factorsamong the students of Turkish Pirelli Primary Schoolin Kocaeli.Material and Method: This is a cross-sectionalsurvey. The universe of the study was composed of360 students of the school. The data were collectedbetween May 11- June 1, 2015. Students' height,weight and blood pressure were measured.Assessment of student's height and weightpercentiles and blood pressures was carried out inaccordance with the values determined by Neyzi etal. The students were asked whether their bloodpressure have been measured in the past, ifmeasured, whether they have been informed abouttheir high blood pressure, and about the presence ofa kidney disease.Findings: Of the students participated in the study,193 (53,6%) were female and 167 (46,4%) weremale. 11,4% of the female students, 6,0% of themale students, and 10,8% (n=39) of all thestudents were found to have hypertension. Therewas no statistically significant difference betweenthe genders in regard to blood pressure level(p>0.05). Hypertension was detected in 6,4% ofnon-obese students and 39,1% of obese students(p
