Özet

Amaç: Bu araştırmada amacımız sosyoekonomik düzeyi yüksek çocukların ağız-diş sağlığının incelenmesi ve yüksek sosyoekonomik durum ile diş çürüğü ve diş fırçası kullanımı arasında ilişkinin araştırılmasıdır. Gereç-Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı kesitsel tipte olan bu araştırma, Diyarbakır’da ilkokul, ortaokul ve lise seviyesinde eğitim veren bir özel okulda gerçekleştirildi. Öğrenciler, okullarında iki diş hekimi tarafından ağız-diş muayenesinden geçirildi. Bulgular anket formuna kaydedildi. Çalışmaya katılan diğer araştırmacılar tarafından öğrencilerle yüz yüze görüşülerek anket uygulandı. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 15.0 paket programı kullanılarak sayı, yüzde ve ortalama ± standart sapma (SD) ile birlikte istatistik analizinde Ki-kare, Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney U testi kullanıldı. p

Abstract

Objective: In this study, our aim is to examine the oral and dental health of children with high socioeconomic status and to investigate the relationship between high socioeconomic status and dental caries and toothbrush use. Material-Method: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in a private school in Diyarbakır that provides primary, secondary and high school education. Students were subjected to oraldental examination by two dentists at their school. The findings were recorded in the questionnaire. A questionnaire was applied by interviewing students face to face by other researchers participating in the study. Chi-square, Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney U tests were used in statistical analysis of the obtained data with number, percentage and mean ± standard deviation (SD) using SPSS 15.0 package program. P
