Bir Üniversite Hastanesinin Erişkin Acil Servisine Başvuran Zehirlenme Vakalarının Retrospektif Olarak İncelenmesi

Özet
Giriş ve Amaç: Çalışmamızda, 2012-2017 yılları arasında hastanemizin erişkin acil servisine başvuran zehirlenme olgularının geriye dönük olarak incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çalışmada Başkent Üniversitesi Ankara Hastanesi Erişkin Acil Servisi’ne 01/01/2012-09/10/2017 tarihleri arasında başvuran 1375 zehirlenme olgusu retrospektif olarak incelenmiştir. Bulgular: Erişkin acil servisine zehirlenme nedeniyle başvuran zehirlenme vakalarının 878’inin kadın (%63,9), %49,4’ünün erişkin yaş grubunda (26-45 yaş) olduğu saptanmıştır. Başvuran vakaların zehirlenme türü/ajanına göre dağılımı incelendiğinde; ilaç ile zehirlenmelerin (%36,6) ilk sırada yer aldığı görülmüştür. Zehirlenme türlerine göre 18-25 yaş grubunda alkol alımına bağlı zehirlenmelerin (%35,5) daha fazla, 26-45 yaş grubunda ise ilaç ile zehirlenmelerin (%44,2) daha fazla olduğu, genel olarak zehirlenme türlerinde kadınların oranlarının daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Sonuç olarak çalışmamızda literatürdeki çalışmalarla benzer şekilde zehirlenme olgularının genç yaş grubu ve kadınlarda daha fazla görüldüğü saptanmış olup; bu olguların çoğunluğunu ilaç ile zehirlenmelerinin oluşturduğu görülmüştür. Acil serviste görev yapan sağlık çalışanlarının konu ile ilgili farkındalıklarının arttırılması, acil servise başvuran kişilere zehirlenmelere karşı önlemler konusunda danışmanlık verilmesi önerilebilir.
Abstract
Introduction-Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the cases of intoxication cases admitted to our hospital's emergency department between 2012-2017. Material-Methods: In this study, we retrospectively investigated 1375 intoxication cases presenting to the Adult Emergency Department of Başkent University Ankara Hospital between 01/01/2012- 09/10/2017. Findings: The number of poisoning cases who were admitted to the adult emergency department due to intoxication was 878 (63.9%) and 49.4% (26-45 years) in the adult age group. When the distribution of the cases according to the type of poisoning / agent were examined; drug poisonings (36.6%) was the first. According to the types of intoxication, it was determined that the number of poisoning due to alcohol intake was higher in the 18-25 age group (35.5%), poisoning from drugs was higher in the 26-45 age group (44.2%), and the rate of female poisoning was higher in general. Discussion-Conclusion: As a result, in our study, it was found that poisoning cases were more common in young age group and women in the same way as the studies in literature. It is advisable to increase the awareness of the health care workers working in the emergency department, and to advise the people applying to the emergency services against the poisoning measures.
