Özet

Bu çalışma, tekstil sektöründe çalışan mavi yakalı işçilerle yapılan görüşmelerin bulgularını içermektedir. Çalışmada, mavi yakalıların emeklilik döneminden beklentileri ve emeklilik kararına etki eden faktörler ile emeklilik sonrası çalışmaya ilişkin görüşleri ve emeklilik dönemine ilişkin plan ve birikim yapma eğilimlerinin açıklığa kavuşturulması amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaçtan hareketle, çalışmaya temel teşkil edebilecek verilerin derlenmesi amacıyla nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış; bu kapsamda tekstil sektöründe çalışan 50 yaş ve üzeri 11 bireyle yarı yapılandırılmış derinlemesine görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Görüşmeler sonucunda katılımcıların önemli bir kısmının emekliliği maddi boyutuyla tanımladığı ve dolayısıyla emekliliğe ilişkin bakışın olumsuz algılar etrafında yoğunlaştığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Sağlık sorunları yaşama, maddi zorluklar, evle ilgili sorumluluklar ve bakım verilen başka bir aile üyesinin varlığı, çocukların eğitimi gibi faktörlerin varlığı emekliliğe yönelik olumsuz beklenti ve tutumlara işaret ederken; düzenli bir emeklilik gelirine sahip olma, aile ile birlikte daha fazla zaman geçirme ve seyahat etme arzusu emekliliğe yönelik olumlu beklentilere zemin hazırlamaktadır.

Abstract

This study comprises the findings of interviews with blue collar workers in textile sector. In this study, it is aimed to clarify the expectations of blue-collar employees from retirement period, the factors affecting the retirement decision, their opinions about post-retirement work and their tendency to make plans and financial saving for retirement period. For this purpose, qualitative research method was used to compile the data that can form the basis of the study; In this context, semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with 11 individuals aged 50 and over who work in the textile sector. As a result of the interviews, it was found out that a significant portion of the participants defined the pensions in terms of their material dimension and thus the view of pensions concentrated around negative perceptions. While the presence of factors such as having health problems, financial difficulties, household responsibilities and the presence of another family member being cared for and education of children point to negative expectations and positive attitudes; the desire to have a regular pension income, to spend more time with the family and to travel desires ground on the retirement.
