Abstract

Women’s, maternal, and child health is affected by many factors, the result of which is also quickly reflected in health outcomes. If a health problem observed in the childhood age group, in where the foundations of health are laid and it is not solved, these problems arise significantly in the future. There are also adverse health outcomes in women’s and maternal health since this group is disadvantaged due to their physiological characteristics and the roles attributed to them in society. Despite all the progress and positive developments in the last 25 years, the current results on women’s, maternal, and child health in the world and Turkey indicate that the health of these groups is still not at the desired level and that inequalities are very high and widespread. Therefore, the performance system should be modified and improved with the primary health care system approach in a way that does not allow to influence and direct the services by giving importance and priority to preventive health services, and the effects of the system on all women, mothers, and children, wherever they are, should be carefully monitored and evaluated.
