Kronik süpüratif otitis mediaya bağlı çok sayıda intrakranial apse gelişimi

Özet

Kronik süpüratif otitis mediaya bağlı intrakranial komplikasyonlara günümüzde nadir de olsa rastlanmaktadır. Tanı ve tedavide gecikildiğinde ciddi sekellere ve hatta ölüme neden olan bu son derece tehlikeli komplikasyonları her zaman için akılda tutmak gerekir. Klinik muayene, laboratuvar ve görüntüleme yöntemleri ile zamanında konulan teşhis ve uygulanan tedavi hayat kurtarıcıdır. Bu yazıda menenjit ve çok sayıda temporal lob apsesi gelişen polipli ve kolestea- tomlu süpüratif otitis mediası olan hasta sunuldu.

Abstract

The intracranial complications of chronic suppurative otitis media are rarely seen in modern practice. These catastrop- hic complications can cause severe morbidities and even mortality in case of delayed diagnosis and treatment and are always kept in mind. Clinical examination, laboratory investigations and imaging studies are used to make a timely di- agnosis and treatment, which are lifesaving. In this paper, a case of suppurative otitis media with cholesteatoma and polyp who subsequently developed meningitis and multiple temporal lobe abscesses was presented.
