Özet

Amaç: Cerrahi tedavi gereken hastalıklara anksiyete ve depresyon gibi psikiyatrik hastalıklar sıklıkla eşlik etmektedir.Psikiyatrik bozukluklar hastanın tedavi sürecine uyumunu, yaşam kalitesini, tedavi maliyetlerini ve erken dönemdeiyileşip aktif yaşama dönmelerini olumsuz etkilemektedir. Bu çalışmada lomber disk hernisi nedeni ile cerrahi plan- lanan hastalardaki anksiyete ve depresyon düzeylerini saptamak, anksiyete ve depresyon saptanan hastalara verilendestek tedavileri ile cerrahi tedavi uyumlarının ve tedavi süresindeki değişimin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.Yöntem ve Gereçler: Bu çalışmaya Ocak 2013- Ocak 2014 tarihleri arasında lomber disk nedeniyle cerrahi planlanan100 hasta dahil edilmiştir. Hastalara cerrahi öncesi Beck Anksiyete- Depresyon ölçekleri verilmiş ve cerrahi sonrasıbir aylık dönem içerisinde ölçekler tekrarlanmıştır.Sosyodemografik bilgi formu her hasta için doldurulmuştur.100 adet gönüllü birey karşılaştırma gurubu olarak alınmıştır. Elde edilen veriler yüzde istatistik olarak değerlendi- rilmiştir. Sonuçlar: Lomber disk hernisi hastalarında en sık görülen psikiyatrik bozukluk anksiyete ve depresyondur. Bu bo- zukluklarda fiziksel hastalığa bağlı olarak artış görülmektedir. Anksiyete ve depresyonun zamanında tespit edilerekönlemlerinin alınması iyileşme üzerindeki olumsuz etkileri azaltılmıştır. Hastalar kısa sürede aktif yaşama dönmüştür. Sonuçta tedavi maliyetlerinde ciddi bir azalma sağlamıştır.

Abstract

Aim: Psychiatric disorders such as anxiety and depression are often associated with diseases that require surgicaltreatment. Psychiatric disorders negatively affect patients compliance to the treatment, quality of life, costs of tre- atments; also recovery period is prolonged and returning to active life in the early stages is adversely affected frompsychiatric disorders. The aim of this study is to determine anxiety and depression levels of the patients intendedto surgery for lumbar disc herniation and to evaluate the effects of the supportive treatment on to the compliance tosurgery in patients to whom supportive treatment for depression was given. Material And Methods: A hundred patients who were considered as a candidate for lumbar disc herniation betweenJanuary 2013-January 2014 were included to this study. Beck Anxiety and Depression Scale were performed to thepatients before the surgery and repeated one month after surgery. Sociodemographic information form was filled outfor each patient. A hundred volunteers were included to the study as a comparison group. The obtained data wereevaluated as percentages. Results: Anxiety and depression rates of the patients included to this study were founded higher than the comparisongroup.Conclusion: The most common psychiatric disorders in patients with lumbar disc herniation were determined asdepression and anxiety disorder. Those psychiatric illnesses were increased due to physical illness. Early diagnosisand precautions of depression and anxiety disorder provided a reduction of the negative impacts on recovery. Also,patients returned to their active life earlier. On the other hand, treatment costs reduced significantly.
