Özet

Akut subdural hematom (ASDH) beyin cerrahisinin acil patolojilerinden birisidir. Komplikasyon ve mortalite oranları yüksektir. ASDH'ın spontan rezorbsiyon sonucu azalması veya kaybolmasının gerçek insidansı bilinmemektedir. Genel görüş itibariyle ASDH'larda erken cerrahi tedavi önerilmektedir. Bu yazıda sol parietal travmatik ASDH nedeniyle başvuran ve yaklaşık 8 saat içerisinde hematomu radyolojik olarak gerileyen 3 yaşında erkek hasta olgusu sunuldu. Bu olgu literatürde erken dönem spontan gerileyen ASDH olgularından biridir.

Abstract

Acute subdural hematoma(ASDH) is one of major neurosurgical emergency pathologies. Complication and mortality rates are high. The true incidence of reduction or resolution of ASDH by spontaneous resorbtion is unknown. As a general opinion, surgery is recommended for early treatment subdural hematoma. In this paper, 3-year-old male patient, admitted with traumatic left parietal subdural hematoma, and about 8 hours later hematoma was radiologically reduced, was presented. This case is one of the early spontaneous resorption of subdural hematoma incidents in literature.
