Özet

20. Yy.'lın ilk yarısında Hindistan'da Urdu edebiyatında, özellikle şiirde yoksulluk ve siyasi kölelik en çok sorgulanan konular arasında yer almıştır. Hindistan alt kıtasında baskın kapital sistemin boyunduruğu altında ezilen insanların durumuna dikkat çekilmek istenmiştir. Bu dönemde Urdu edebiyatında çok sayıda değerli şair ismini duyurmuştur. İlerici Edebiyat Hareketi'nde yer alan Urdu şairleri, özgürlük çağrılarını şiir aracılığıyla topluma ulaştırmaya çalışmışlardır

Abstract

In the first half of the 20th century, the main objective of Urdu Literature, especially in poetry, was to identify the priorities in the wretched conditions of the communities living in India, Among those priorities most important ones were to rouse the passion of freedom in the subjugated people of the sub-continent and to depict the poor plight of the population due to poverty under the prevalent capitalistic economic system through their literature. The poets of the progressive movement tried to transport the thought of freedom through poetry
