Özet
Bu makale, ideoloji ve hegemonya kuramlarının işlevini İstanbul’da kurulan Müze-i Hümâyun ile İstanbul Resim ve Heykel Müzesi'nin teşhir stratejileri üzerinden incelemektedir. Müzelerin koleksiyonu bağlamında oluşturulan sanat tarihi anlatısı ile ilerlemecilik, evrenselcilik ve ulus-devlet gibi kavramların toplumsal tarih ve siyasi düşünceler tarihindeki yeri ele alınacaktır.
Abstract
This article examines the function of ideology and hegemony theories through the display strategies of the Imperial Museum and the Istanbul Painting and Sculpture Museum which both established in Istanbul. The art history narrative which was created in the context of the museum collections and concepts such as progressivism, universalism and the nation-state and their place in the social history and the history of political thought will be discussed.
