Conservation Practice Implemented within the Scope of The Exhibit of an Exhibition - II of Istanbul Painting and Sculpture Museum “Elif Naci - The Hiding Child”

Özet

Elif Naci; ressam, yazar ve müzeci, ayrıca sanatçı D Grubunun kurucularındandır. Sanatçıya ait Saklanan Çocuk adlı eseri İstanbul Resim ve Heykel Müzesi koleksiyonunda yer almaktadır. İstanbul Resim ve Heykel Müzesinde Serginin Sergisi II düzenlenirken restorasyon ve konservasyon çalışmaları gerektiren eserler arasında yer almaktaydı. Bu bağlamda incelenen eserin kâğıt üzeri yağlı boya olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Saklanan Çocuk adlı eser özelinde kâğıt üzerine yağlı boya eserlerdeki uyuşmazlıklar ve sorunlar ele alınmıştır. Esere uygulanan konservasyon ve restorasyon süreçleri malzeme özelinde değerlendirip uygulanmıştır.

Abstract

Elif Naci; painter, writer, museum curator, and also one of the co-creator of the “D Group”. One of his artwork, named The Hiding Child, is in the collection of Istanbul Painting and Sculpture Museum. The work needed to be in the process of restoration and conservation before the Istanbul Painting and Sculpture Museum’s The Exhibit of an Exhibition – II. In that matter, it has been determined that the art was an oil painting on paper. The conflicts and problems on oil paintings on paper were also considered in the process. The conservation and restoration process applied to The Hiding Child were evaluated in terms of material.
