Özet

Bu araştırma, bal arısı (Apis mellifera L.) kolonilerinin ana nektar akım dönemi öncesi polen toplama etkinliğinin, koloni populasyon gelişimine etkilerini belirlemek amacıyla Çukurova bölgesinde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada ana an yaşı ve koloni populasyon güçleri eşitlenmiş ve iki ayn gruba aynlan 20 adet koloni kullanılmıştır. Birinci grubu oluşturan 10 koloniye, 14 hafta boyunca, haftanın dört günü, 07.00-14.00 saatleri arasında, kovan uçuş tahtası üzerine monte edilebilen tipte polen tuzaklan takılmıştır, ikinci gruba araştırma süresince polen tuzağı takılmamış, bu grup kontrol kolonilerini oluşturmuştur. Araştırma sonunda polen tuzağı kullanılan kolonilerde ortalama anlı çerçeve sayısı 7,10±0,27 adet, yavrulu alan miktarı 2200,38+167,06 cm2; kontrol kolonilerinde ise bu değerler sırasıyla 8,30+0,35 adet ve 2897,46±237,80 cm2 olarak belirlenmiştir. Abstract

This investigation was conducted in Çukurova Region in order to determine the effects of pollen collection activity before the main nectar flow, on the growth of colony population in honeybee (Apis mellifera L.) colonies. During the investigation, 20 colonies were divided into two groups after been equalized for queen bee age and colony population strength. For 10 colonies of the first group, during 14 weeks f or 4 days a week between 07.00-14.00 hrs, moveable pollen traps were mounted on beehive flying boards. For the second group pollen traps were not applied, and these became control colonies. At the end of the investigation, for the first group with pollen traps the average number of bee frames was 7.10±0.27 items, and the brood area was 2200.38±167.06 cm2. In the control colony the number of bee frames was 8.30±0.35 items, and the amount of brood area was 2897.46+237.80 cm2 .The effect of pollen quantity of control colonies on the number of bee frame was about (P
