Özet

Ziya Gökalp, II. Meşrutiyet ile Cumhuriyet'in ilk yılları arasında toplumsal değişmenin en hızlı olduğu bir dönemde yaşamıştır. Her an değişen politikalar, aktif bir siyasi düşünür olan Gökalp'i de etkilemiş ve düşüncelerinin sürekli değişmesine neden olmuştur. İlk yıllarda Osmanlı'nın kurtuluşu için düşünsel bir çabaya giren Gökalp, izleyen yıllarda da Türkçülük ve milliyetçiliğe yönelmiştir. Bu çalışmada Ziya Gökalp'in "kültür ve uygarlık" kavramları etrafında oluşturmaya çalıştığı toplumsal değişme tezi ele alınmıştır

Abstract

Ziya Gökalp lived in a period between the second constitutional monarchy and the first years of the republic, in which the social change was the quickest. Changing policies a t any time affected Gökalp, who was an active political thinker, and also caused him to change his ideas consistently. At the beginning, Gökalp made an ideational effort on the release of Ottoman Empire. In the following years, he leaned to Turkism and nationalism. In the current study, the social change thesis that Ziya Gökalp tried to form around the concepts of "culture and civilization", is handled.
