Özet

Annales okulu'nun kurucuları Lucien Febvre ve March Bloch'un Annales d'histoire économique et sociale dergisinin kuruluş yıllarındaki (1928-1933) birbirleriyle olan yazışmaları bu yazının başlıca konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Bu makalenin amacı, yeni bir tarih yazım yaklaşı- mı geliştirme sürecinde bu yazışmaların öneminin ortaya konmasıdır. Derginin ilk sayılarının yayınlandığı sosyo-ekonomik ve siyasi konjonktürü daha iyi yorumlayabilmek adına, ilk bölüm Annales okulun kurucularının kişisel yazışmalarının analizine ayrılmıştır. İkinci bö- lümde, Annales'in içeriğini geliştirme, onu tanıtım faaliyetleri ve süreçte ortaya çıkan problemlere ilişkin yazışmalar, bu entelektüel hareketin tarihsel altyapısının analizini yapmak için incelenecektir.

Abstract

The focus of this paper is the correspondence between founding fathers of the Annales School namely, Lucien Febvre and Marc Bloch, during the establishment years (1928-1933) of the scholarly journal Annales d'histoire économique et sociale. The article aims at highlighting the importance of these correspondences' role in the process of developing a new historiographical approach. The first part is devoted to the analysis of the personal correspondences of the founders of the Annales School in pursuit of a better interpretation of the socio-economic and political conjunctures in which the first issues of the journal were published. In the second part, the correspondences relating to the content development of the Annales, its promotional activities, and emerging problems in the process are explored in terms of the analysis of the historical background of this intellectual movement.
