Özet

Salvia veneris Hedge'in ilk bulunuşu, yetiştiği özel habi-tatı ve birlikte bulunduğu türler kısaca tartışılmıştır. Salvia veneris ve yakın iki akrabası olan S. cassia Samuelss. ex Rechinger fil. ve S. cilicica Boiss. & Kotschy'nın temel taksonomik karakterlerinin morfoloik analizi neticesinde bu üç taksonun tür seviyesinde korunması gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır.

Abstract

The early discovery of Salvia veneris Hedge, the specialised habitat which it occupies, and its typical associated species are briefly discussed. Following a morphometric analysis of its principal taxonomic characters and those of its two closest allies, S. cassia Samuelss. ex Rechinger fil. and S. cilicica Boiss. & Kotschy, it is concluded that all three taxa should be retained at specific rank.
