Abstract

Within the scope of this study which includes the glass vessels made by internal mould technique in Kahramanmaras Museum, examinations and evaluations were made on the 5 glass pieces. Well-preserved pieces are in the form of Amphoriskos, aryballos, kohl-tube and alabastron. In our study, by examining the pieces one by one, drawings were made in the computer environment and grouped .These forms were decorated with band, zigzag and feather. Vessels which were made between 6thand 1th C BC show similarities with Eastern Mediterranean-origin Syrian,Palestinian ,Cypriot and Egyptian samples. In the light of these smilarities we can say that our pieces made by internal mould technique were produced in the work-shops which were in these centres or produced in local work-shops by being under the influence of these. The information that there was glass production in close centers suggests the idea that there was a regional production. However, due to the fact that glass vessels came to the museum through purchasing, it is difficult to say that they were produced in a particular center
