BİLGİ MERKEZLERİNDE MALZEME, BİNA VE KENTSEL ÖLÇEKTE KORUMA

Özet

İnsanlık tarihi boyunca bilgi merkezleri olarak adlandırılan kütüphane, arşiv ve müzelerdeki materyallere büyük önem verilmiş, bu objelerin korunması amacıyla yapılar inşa edilmiş ve saklama sorunsalı üzerine çabalar sarf edilmiştir. Medeniyetler tarihi boyunca insanoğlunun eli ürünü olan bu nadide eserlerin gelecek nesillere de ulaşmasına yönelik çalışmalar yürütülmüştür. Tarihi belgeler, kitaplar, arkeolojik objeler çok kıymetli kültürel miras hazineleridir. Bunların elde edilmesi, okunması, kullanıma açılması elbette çok önemlidir. Ancak sayılanlar kadar önemli olan koruma konusu ihmal edilirse bu nadir eserler yok olmakla veya çok ağır hasar almakla yüz yüze kalabilirler. Afetler, insan hatasına bağlı yapılan yanlışlıklar, iklimsel koşullar, binanın konumu, endüstriyel faaliyetler gibi pek çok olumsuz risk faktörü bilgi merkezleri içeriği olan koleksiyonlara büyük zarar vermektedir. Bir milletin belleği niteliğinde olan koleksiyonların korunması ciddiyetle ele alınması gereken bir konu olup gerek idarecilerin ve bilgi merkezleri profesyonellerinin gerekse bu alanları kullananların koruma çalışmalarına katkı sağlaması gereklidir. Çalışma kapsamında da bilgi merkezlerinde malzeme, bina ve kentsel koruma açısından oluşabilecek riskler ve koruyucu tedbir önerileri vurgulanmıştır.

Abstract

Library, archive and museum materials, which are existed in information centers throughout the history of humanity, have been given great value, structures have been built to protect these objects and efforts have been made on the “protection problematic”. Throughout the history of civilizations, studies have been carried out to ensure that these rare artifacts, which are the product of the hand of mankind, reach future generations. Historical documents, books, archaeological objects are very valuable cultural heritage treasures. It is very important to obtain, read and use them. However, if the conservation issue is neglected, these rare artifacts may face extinction or severe damage. Many negative risk factors such as disasters, mistakes made due to human error, climatic conditions, location of the building, industrial activities cause great damage to the collections with the content of information centers. The preservation of collections, which are the memory of a nation, is an issue that needs to be examined seriously, and both administrators and information center professionals and those who use these areas should contribute to the conservation efforts. Within the scope of the study, the risks that may occur in terms of materials, buildings and urban protection in the information centers and protective measures were emphasized.
