Özet
Nöroleptik malign sendrom (NMS) antipsikotik tedavinin nadir ve hayatı tehditeden bir komplikasyonudur. Hastalar ateş, mental durum değişikliği, otonomik instabilite ve kas rijiditesi ile presente olurlar. Çeşitli hastalıklar bu klinikle görülebilir. NMS tanısı, diğer tanıların dışlanması ile konur. Acil Servise (AS) ateş ile başvuran hastalarda düşünülmesi gereken bir ayırıcı tanıdır. Tanı için dikkatli öykü vehastanın önceki ilaç kullanımı hikayesini almak gerekir.
Abstract
Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) is a rare and life threatening complicationof antipsychotic therapy. It presents with fever, altered mental status, autonomicinstability and muscle rigidity. Differential diagnosis consist many conditions.NMS is a diagnosis of exclusion. NMS is in the differential diagnosis of patientspresenting with fever to emergency department, where careful history and previous medication use is essential for diagnosing and treating this phenomenon.
