Investigation of Brucellosis Seroprevalence in Artvin City According to the Laboratory Data

Özet

Amaç: Bruselloz zoonotik bir hastalıktır ve ülkemizde endemik olarak görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada amacımız bruselloz sıklığınının Rose Bengal(RB)ve standart tüp aglutinasyon (STA) testi ile belirlenmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çalışmada, Ocak 2010-Mart 2013 tarihleri arasında Artvin DevletHastanesinde bruselloz ön tanısı ile tetkik istenmiş olan 1580 hastanın verileri retrospektif olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Bruselloz seropozitifliği RB ile (132) % 8.35 oranında saptandı. Bunların 96sında ise standart tüpaglutinasyon(STA) testi ile 1/160 ve üzerinde titre tespit edildi. Tartışma: İlimizde brusella infeksiyonu önemli bir halk sağlığı sorunudur. Halka hastalık, bulaşma yolları ve korunma konusunda eğitim verilmesi gerekmektedir

Abstract

Aim: Brucellosis is an endemic zoonotic disease in our country.In this study,we aimed seroprevalence of brucellosis was determined by Rose Bengal andstandart tube agglutination tests. Matherial and Method: Serologic data of1580 brucellosis prediagnosed patients admitted to .. State Public Hospital Microbiology Laboratory between January 2010 and March 2013, wereevaluated retrospectively. Results: Seropositivity for brucellosis in patients byRB were (132)8.35% respectively.among these agglutination titer of 1/160and over was detected in 96 samples. Discussion: Brucellosis is an importanthealth problem in our region.Education given to the public about the diseaseand its spreading ways.
