Abstract

Several reports have suggested an association between some human leucocyte antigen(s) (HLA) and ischemic and idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (IC and IDC, respectively). In order to investigate a possible association between HLA frequency and the occurrence of IC and IDC in Turkish patients, we performed HLA class I and II typ¬ing in 24 patients with IDC and 34 patients with IC.
