Paramedian diencephalic syndrome ( Case report )

Abstract

Paramedian diencephalic syndrome as the result of bilateral thalamic infarction is a rare cause of the amnestic syndrome with sudden onset. It consists of hypersomnolent apathy, amnestic syndrome and abnormal vertical gaze. We report a case of paramedian diencephalic syndrome persistent verbal and visual short-term memory deficits with.an acute onset.
