Abstract
Although cutaneous leishmanlasis having sporotrichoid pattern has been increasing in the United States since 1970, it is still very few reported in the Middle East. This form of the disease is mostly caused by Leishmania Brasiliensis and the sporotrichoid presentation is thought to be due to the lymphatic spread of the infection. Endemic tropical patogens like cutaneous leishmaniasis should be considered in the differential diagnosis of any chronic skin lesion resembling sporotrichoid pattern especially in a person who has been in an endemic area.
