Özet

AMAÇ: Çalışmamızda, CAN score (Clinical Assessment of Nutritional Status: Nutrisyonel Durumun Klinik Değerlendirilmesi) yöntemini kullanarak fetal malnütrisyonlu bebeklerin oranını, AGA ve SGA bebekler arasındaki dağılımını ailenin sosyoekonomik durumu ile malnutrisyon arasındaki ilişkiyi saptamayı amaçladık.

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: The aim of the study is to investigate ratio of fetal malnutrition (FM), distribution of FM among Appropriate for Gestational Age (AGA) and Small Gestational Age (SGA) babies and to establish correlation between FM and socioeconomical status of the families by using CAN Score (Clinical Assessment of Nutritional Status) while comparing with other measure methods. METHODS: Prospective study of 708 term healthy newborns assessed using CAN score and mothers took a questionary about socioeconomic status of family and gestational history of their previous and recent pregnancy. RESULTS: FM was found in 159 (22.5%) of 708 newborn. FM is also observed in 20.5 % (142/692) of the children with AGA according to Denver intrauterine developmental graphs. In SGAs 87.5 (14/16) of the children were found as FM. It also quite interesting that 12,5 % (2/16) of the SGA newborn are diagnosed as FM. FM was found in families with minimum wage or below the minimum wage. (p
