Abstract
Kırkoluk-Ovacık polje system, Kızılca and Aydoğdu poljes and Belova uvala; It is located on the northwest edge of the Teke region and also in the geographical border region with the Aegean Region. These karstic shapes, which were developed in carbonate slices pushed on top of each other with different lithostratigraphic features belonging to the Lycian nappes, extend along tectonic and lithological lines. These macrokarst shapes are depressions of different sizes that have developed in both lateral and vertical directions under the influence of paleo-climatic conditions. These poljes in the research area, which was an orogeny and erosional area in Miocene, started to form due to the development of NE-SW and E-W direction normal faults in the area at the beginning of the Pliocene. However, these primary poljes were covered with cover deposits in the early stages of their development. Beginning from the Upper Pliocene, these cover deposits were stripped and pollination started again in the field. These poljes, which developed within the Pliocene surfaces in this way, gained their final shape with the geomorphological rejuvenations in the Pleistocene. These poljes, which develop in structural lines, form the most characteristic shapes of shallow-lateral karst in terms of the lithostratigtographic features of the area. These karstic depressions were also formed under the control of different tectonic units and faults and developed with the shaping effects of geological and geomorphological evolution. As a result of these, the poljes in the area are “polygenic-polycyclic” karstic depressions that are successively aligned along tectonic and structural lines. Of these, Kızılca is completely closed from the surface, but it is a polje that flows out from underground through its sinkholes on the south side. Aydoğdu Polje, which flows into the Kızılca Polje with a narrow and deep river valley, and from there to the sinkholes, is a polje opened from the surface. The Kırkoluk and Ovacık poljes in the southernmost part of the field are closed depressions that were formed as a whole but later separated from each other by a low threshold. Although these two poljes were separated by the alluvial fan depots later transported from the Kırdağları, they were accepted as a polje system. This polje system is separated from the Barz Polje from the south by a low threshold formed by alluvial fans and sandstone-claystone-shale units coming out from the base. 4 polje, 1 uvala (Belova) and 46 dolines in the study area, which covers an area of approximately 142 km2 , constitute approximately 30% of the entire study area. Among these karstic depressions, which offer different sizes and morphological structures, Kızılca Polje is partially circular, while Aydoğdu, Ovacık and Kırkoluk Poles and Belova Uvala have undergone deformations and at the same time have deviated from circularity (generally elongated) forms. In this, especially the lithological and the extension directions of the faults and the thrust structures played a great role
