The fish fauna of the Durusu Lake Basin (İstanbul-Turkey)

Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the fish fauna of Durusu Lake Basin. 27 fish species belonging to 10families were determined. Clupeonella cultriventris, Barbus cyclolepis, Atherina boyeri, Gambusia holbrooki,Syngnathus abaster, Knipowitschia caucasica, Neogobius cf. eurycephalus were recorded for the first time fromthe lake basin.
