Abstract

This study was carried out to determine natural enemies of Euphyllura straminea Log. (Hemiptera: Psyllidae) harmful to olives trees in the three orchards of Dara village and Derik districts Mardin province in 2010 and 2011. In the sampling, it has been applied visual observations and knock down methods. As result of this study, 11 predators and 1 parasitoid species belong to 7 families related to 5 orders were determined. Parasitoid was Psyllaephagus euphyllurae Silv., while predators were Pharoscymnus pharoides Mars., Chilocorus bipustulatus L.; Chrysoperla carnea Step., Deraeocoris lutescens Schilling, Campyloneura virgula Her.-Sch.; Anthocoris nemoralis Fabr., Orius niger Wolff, Temnostethus longirostris Hor.; Nagusta goedeli Kolenatil; Metasyrphus corollae Fabricius, Sphaerophoria scripta L. It has been determined the population development of species belongs to the Anthocoridae and Coccinelidae families being important in terms of their prevalence and intensity. At the time in both years the predators were intensive in April, May, June and September. However, it was observed a decrease in pest populations.
