Öğrenci Hemşirelerin Mesleki İlgilerinin Yanal Düşünmeye Etkisi

Özet

Amaç: Bu araştırma öğrenci hemşirelerin sosyo-.demografik özelliklerine göre mesleki ilgileri ve yanal düşünme düzeyleri ile mesleki ilgilerinin yanal düşünmeye etkisini incelemek amacı ile tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmanın evrenini bölümdeki tüm hemşirelik öğrencileri, örneklemini ise araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 385 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veri toplamada sosyo-demografik özellikler anketi, Mesleki İlgi Ölçeği (MİÖ) ve Yanal Düşünme Eğilimi Ölçeği (YADE) kullanılmıştır. Veriler, frekans, ortalama, t testi, ANOVA, Mann Whitney U, Kruskall Wallis testleri ve korelasyon testleri kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin %53’ü 17-20 yaş aralığında, %77.9’u kadındır. Analiz sonucunda öğrencilerin YADE toplam puan ortalaması 32.48±6.58, MİÖ toplam puan ortalaması ise 162.55±24.82 olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada MİÖ ve YADE ölçekleri puan ortalamalarının bazı sosyo-demografik özelliklere göre farklılık gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca YADE ile MİÖ arasında pozitif yönde orta dereceye yakın anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Öğrencilerin yanal düşünme eğilimleri ile mesleğe olan ilgilerinin ortalamanın üzerinde ve iyi düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Abstract

Aim: This descriptive study was conducted to examine student nurses' occupational interests and lateral thinking levels according to their socio-demographic characteristics and the effect of their occupational interests on lateral thinking. Material and Methods: The study population consisted of all the nursing students in the department, and the sample consisted of 385 students who agreed to participate in the study. Sociodemographic characteristics questionnaire, Occupational Interest Scale (OIS), and Lateral Thinking Disposition Scale (LTDS) were used to collect data. Data were analyzed using frequency, mean, t-test, ANOVA, Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis tests, and correlation tests. Results: 53% of the students are between the ages of 17-20, 77.9% of them are women. As a result of the analysis, the total mean score of the students for LTDS was 32.48 ± 6.58, and the total mean score of the OIS was 162.55 ± 24.82. The study determined that the mean scores of the OIS and LTDS scales differ according to some sociodemographic characteristics. In addition, it was found that there was a positive, close to moderate correlation between OIS and LTDS. Conclusion: It was determined that the students’ lateral thinking tendencies and their interest in the profession were above the average and at a good level.
