The three planar evaluation of spinal position and deformity possible from biplanar radiographs

Abstract

A framework for the determination of three planar spinal position and deformity is presented. The goal is to aid identification of clinically useful three planar measurements that can be made from currently available biplanar radiographs. The methods used are accepted spinal position terminology, measurement techniques based on comparing the positions of two right hand orthogonal coordinate systems, and a clear definition of normal spine pas/Z/qg!
