Maksiller sinus mukoselinin cerrahi tedavisi

Özet

Paranasal sinüs mukoselleri, çoğunlukla frontal sinüslerde,daha seyrek olarak etmoid ve maksiller sinüslerde görülürler. Genellikle ostiumun blokajı sonucu oluşurlar. Sinüs mukoselleri diğer mukosellerden farklı olarak epitel ile çevrilidir ve kalın iyi gelişmiş kist epiteline sahiptir. Benign karakterde olmasına rağmen büyük boyutlara ulaşarak çevresinde kemikte yarattıkları basınç ile destrüksiyona yol açarlar. Olgu raporumuzda sol maksiller sinüsü tamamen kaplayan, sinüs ön duvarında destrüksiyona neden olan,çok geniş lokalizasyon gösteren intraoral ve ekstraoral ekspansiyon yapan mukoselin cerrahi tedavisi ve postoperatif izlenmesi sunulacaktır.

Abstract

Mucoceles in paranasal sinuses are most common in frontal sinuses, preceeding ethmoid and maxillary sinuses. Generally, they come into being as a result of the blokage of the ostium. Mucoceles of sinuses are surrounded with a thick,well-grown cyst epithelium, which makes recognizable among other mucoceles. Although they have benign characteristic ,they can expand in huge sizes resulting in the destruction of the bone by the pressure at the surrounding bone. In this case report,we will present a mucocele with its surgical treatment and postoperative follow-up, which fully filled the left maxillary sinus, covered large areas intraorally and extraorally and caused destruction on the anterior wall.
