Abstract

We evaluate a comparison of laser vaporization and other treatment modalities in squamous intraepithelial lesions (SlL). A total of 155 cases : 89 LSlL, 66 HSIL were included into this study. Laser vaporizati-on was performed for 57 cases, and posttreatment adequacy (normal colposcopy and negative cytology for 1 year follow up) was found 94.1 % in LSlL and 90.9 % in HSIL. LEEP was performed for 25 cases and effcacl oMratment was 100 %. Cryotherapy was performed for 22 cases, and postreatment adequcy was found 91.6 % in LSlL and 90 % in HSIL. The ef-ficacy of treatment for conisation (17) and electroco-agulation 526) was found 100 %. In 8 cases who were treated as total hysterectomy efficacy rate was evaluated as 100 %. Finally, for treatment of preinvasive diseases the above mentioned techniques were not found much different from each other for the aspects of advanta-ges, and disadvantages.
