Abstract

This study is an investigation of biometric analysis of Orbitoides from the Middle to Upper Maastrichtian aged sediments of Osmaneli (Bilecik). Biometric analysis of about five hundreds and fifty specimens of Orbitoides includes valuation of measurements of internal and external features. In the area, the arithmetical mean values of Orbitoides embryo size changes between 0.850 mm and 1.211 mm and the number of auxiliary chambers from 9.25 to 13.75. Increases or decreases of the mean values from bottom to top are seen. The orbitoids usually show large test size and sub-globular embryos. Besides equatorial chambers' growings, the features of microspheric and megalospheric forms of Orbitoides and comparison of external and internal biometric parametres between Hekimhan (Malatya) and Osmaneli (Bilecik) areas also presented.
