Abstract

In this study, it was determined the effects of finger joint for end-to-end of laminated wood which are Oriental beech and scotch pine bonded with D4 adhesive on bending strength. For this purpose, the test samples, prepared according to EN 385 was tested procedure of ASTM-D 3110-72 for bending strength. As a result, in the laminated wood, according to the control samples the bending strength decreased in Oriental beech as 17 %, as 20 % in scotch pine. The bending strength in Oriental beech is higher than scotch pine. When the D4 adhesive is used for bending wood material, the differences between them decrease.
