Optimum gain pyramidal horn design with improved accuracy

Özet

Optimum kazançlı piramidal huninin doğru bir şekilde tasarımı için, literatürde mevcut olan klasik tasarım yöntemi geliştirilmiştir. E- ve H-düzlemi eğim uzunlukları için, yeni ampirik formüller elde edilmiştir. Tasarım formülleri, uzun huni tasarımlarına kısıtlı değildir. Geliştirilen tasarım yönteminin performansını göstermek için, tasarım örnekleri verilmiştir. Bu tasarım örneklerinin sonuçları, literatürde mevcut tasarım yöntemlerinin sonuçlan ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Piramidal huninin kazancı, kazanç düşme faktörlerinin nümerik integralinden hesaplanmıştır. Tasarlanan piramidal hunilerin hesaplanan kazanç değerleri, arzu edilen kazanç değerleri ile çok iyi bir uyumluluk içindedir.

Abstract

The classical design method available in the literature is improved for the accurate design of the optimum gain pyramidal horn. New empirical formulas are obtained for the E- and H- plane slant lengths. The design formulas are not restricted to long horn designs. Several design examples are given which illustrate the performance of the improved design method. The results of these examples are compared with those of the design methods available in the literature. The gain of a pyramidal horn is calculated from the numerical integration of the gain reduction factors. The computed gain values of the designed pyramidal horns are in very good agreement with the desired gain values.
